Tell Me a Story #1 (comic)

Happy Friday!

My friend Evan, a very funny and talented writer, inspired this comic. This one’s for you, buddy.

received_1739654206350387 — I learned that beelzebub is portrayed as a bee in some texts. I learned this when I was writing an essay on Emily Dickinson‘s “I heard a Fly Buzz – When I Died” or the more catchy title (591) and I postulated that the Fly was actually a flying buzzing bug rather than specifcially a fly.

Good News Everyone! (originally posted at www.theprometheanspark.org) May's Mystery Musings post is about watercolours because over the weekend I received my first watercolour paint kit. I have been thinking about getting a set for a long while but finally pulled the trigger when I accidentally signed up for an amazon prime membership whilst buying a birthday present for a friend. So I figured "I have prime for free for a month...I may as well enjoy the advantages whilst I can hahaha" I plan to make some more test sheets with each colour and waterbrush pen and brush I have in the new book as a reference guide and will upload pictures of that at a later point. Until then I can only impart two pieces of knowledge that I have learned definitively: Up-strokes are fine; down-strokes are bold. Go from light to dark. "A Room from 3-point Perspective" (3 of 3) For the fifth and final drawing of this month's Art Journal is the final piece in the "rooms from increasing point perspectives" series drawn from the art tutorial video from the channel "drawinghowtodraw".
